The Governors of 2010 expect to continue the level of success that has been achieved for the past several years. The seniors include Blake Buck, Tyler Jordan, Jaime Mireles, Jon Reagan, Caleb Sparks, Shane Tretheway, and Cory Cardwell, who are expected to make significant contributions to the varsity team this year. In addition to Coach Puleo, the varsity team will be coached by Daniel Holden and Justin Young. We are also excited about our JV team that will be coached by John Clay Garland and Eric Loy. We now provide for our students one of the best high school baseball facilities in our area. The effort we receive from the parents of our baseball players play a major role in the success of our program. Our gratitude goes out to those who are helping on the grounds crew, in the concession stand, and the press box. To those individuals and companies who generously donated to the baseball program here at William Blount, we would like you to know your contributions are greatly appreciated.

Coach Charlie Puleo

About the coach: Mr. Puleo is certified to teach health, P.E. and Driver's Ed. He currently teaches Driver's Ed., and he is the WBHS baseball coach. He was a pitcher for the New York Mets from 1981 to 1982; a pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds from 1983 to 1984; a pitcher for the Atlanta Braves from 1985 to 1989. He was the Baltimore Orioles minor league pitching coach from 1992 to 1999.
